Sunny Beach is located only 16 miles from Burgas International Airport and is Bulgaria’s leading resort. It is well known for its long sandy beaches, water sports and superb nightlife to suit all tastes. There is plenty to do with all of the usual activities to include waterparks, go-karting, paintballing and an abundance of bars and restaurants serving both local and international cuisine. The average seawater temperature is 20-26 degrees Celsius and its salinity is half that of the Mediterranean Sea. Sunny Beach is the winner of the Blue Flag eco-award for proven ecological advantages, clean beaches and sea with fresh air coming from the nearby mountain. Public transport around the resort is by way of very regular bus services, small trains and the traditional horse and carriages.
To the south, the town of Nessebar has ancient ruins and an Archaeological Museum and is a World Heritage Site. Its beautiful cobbled streets offer tourists the chance to browse the many gift shops and the cliff-top restaurants serve a wide range of seafood dishes. The old town sits on a peninsula and is a great place to visit day or night. There is plenty for the children to do and the many coffee bars and ice cream parlours are a welcome pit stop during your visit.
St Vlas is located at the north end of Sunny Beach, home to the new “Dinevi Marina” with a capacity for 300 yachts and excellent facilities. Surrounded by high-quality hotels and apartments, the marina comes into its own at night with its lovely restaurants, casino and beach bars. St Vlas has a small centre that is open all year round to accommodate the local residents and is only a short drive or bus
journey to the heart of Sunny Beach.
