Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarms
Smoke Alarms
All properties built since June 1992 must have mains operated smoke detectors from new. For properties built prior to 1992, it is advisable that each floor has at least one smoke detector. As company policy, we insist that smoke alarms are fitted to each residential floor. If required we can arrange for a contractor to install them.
Carbon Monoxide (CO)
Carbon Monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas produce by the incomplete burning of carbon-based fuels (coal, gas, wood, oil). Steps can be taken to reduce the risk of Carbon Monoxide, such as reguarly servicing appliances, but also by installing a Carbon Monoxide Alarm. As a company we strongly recommend landlords consider installing a Carbon Monoxide Alarm as part of providing a safe environment for a tenant to live in
