Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)
An EPC is required for all properties marketed for let. Valid for 10 years, the EPC will provide landlords and tenants with information on the energy efficiency and environmental impact of the property in an easy-to-understand A-G rating system. As part of the evaluation, the assessor will also provide a list of recommendations suggesting cost effective improvements to raise the property's energy efficiency. As a landlord, you are not required to act upon the recommendations.
